Tasting at Matt’s; batch #3
Dark brown color. Earthy malts, some ass, coffee, some cheese. Smooth mouthfeel, strong roasted malt and coffee flavor without exceeding with the burnt character. Too earthy.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy dark brown with a reddish tinge and a small beige head. Aroma brings out medium roasted malt, with a touch of coffee character in there. Flavour follows through, with dark cocoa, some roast, and light green pepper. Moderately roasty, with a finish of green pepper and cocoa. Not bad.

A lightly hazed brown porter with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, bitter chocolate with coffee grind, musty character, light bourbon barrel notes and grassy hops, light licorice, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity chocolate malt with light licorice, light butterscotch, treacle, light coffee grind, OK. On tap at Noire et Blanche.
