Medium brown. Not much head. There’s a somewhat bubblegummy whiskey aroma, and taste. There’s a soft chocolate, cocoa taste, light bubblegum, wood. It’s a decent beer.

Bottle 650ml. Bought in Bottle Jockey. Slightly sweet aroma and taste with caramel, dark fruits notes with a touch of alcohol (strange for the 6% porter). Some notes of roasted malt on the background of smell and taste, but no whiskey barrel at all. Notes of whiskey present only on background of aftertaste. Just not bad. At least in the bottle.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with light head that dissipates quickly. Aromas of green oak, scotch whiskey and coffee. Flavors same though better in balance with additional roasted malts, licorice, and vanilla. Light - I guess more like a barrel aged porter should be relative to a stout - but still quite nice!

Dark brown color, small and short lived head. Evident bourbon aroma, high carbonation, leand and dry mouthfeel, mild caramel and chocolate flavor, and strong bourbon flavor; not much malt strength and depth, too low bitterness, but it’s enjoyable.

Black color , dark brown, with small head. The bourbon aroma is evident, mellow, and bread. Good body strength, it plays well with the chocolate flavor, luckily there is a bit of residual sweetness; the bourbon notes delicately enhance the chocolate feeling; low bitterness, but fitting in the picture; it has a nice, light berry fruitiness. Traces of liquorice in the finish. Very nice.
The high presence of bourbon may result cloying in the long, though.
Balanced, clean and flawless.

On tap at Powell Street, pours a red-tinged deep dark brown / near-black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out notes of whiskey, some caramel and a little roast. Flavour is dominated by the whiskey barrels without being boozy at all, just bringing out the full flavour of the barrels. There's a touch of roast underneath to provide body, which isn't overly robust. Really well done barrel aging here. Excellent.
