650 ml bottle. Pours black with dark beige head. Aromas of thick sugary coffee, graham crackers, bourbon barrel, chocolate covered fruit and slick roasted malts. Flavors of licorice, powdery dark chocolate, dry black coffee, and lots of roasted malts with a little soy sauce and dark molasses. Warm finish. Very good.

Pours with that nice, inky black body and medium brown head you like to see in an imperial stout. Lots of bourbon on the nose. Rich, inky , has a nice rich dark chocolate. Bourbon, a little bit of molasses. It’s not like there’s complexity that comes at you in waves; it’s just some really wonderful flavours.

Taster at the brewery. Pours an almost black with a dark beige head. Aroma is roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa, bourbon, some fruitiness. Taste is berries forward with bourbon, chocolate, hops and some cherry notes. Medium body, medium carbonation, quite smooth and slightly boozy. Good BBA IS overall. We need more beers like this in BC.

2019-08-16, bottle from the brewery, 2+ years old, 8-4-8-4-16=40
Notes of bourbon and dark chocolate in the nose. Good body structure, moderately sweet and not thin, more chocolate than roasted malt, warming alcohol in the finish.
I wouldn't age it longer, but it's holding up quite well.

The aroma is excellent, with fruity notes; the mouthfeel is a bit thinner than I'd like and with accentuated roasted malt notes rather than chocolate. Some liquorice in the final. But it' still excellent.

Pitch black, with generous beige head. Quite bold bourbon aroma over creamy roasted malts. Medium body strength, relatively low Final Gravity, roasted malt upfront, then dark chocolate, roasted nuts, a touch of lactose creaminess, all with a moderate but evident bourbon character, and whiskey feeling in the final. I'd love a sweeter version.
Powerful, mostly very well balanced, excellent.
One bottle will be aged in my cellar.

On tap at Powell Street, pours black with a medium light brown head. Aroma brings out deep, rich bourbon barrels upfront, with plenty of vanilla, followed by robust roasted malt and a healthy hop dosage. Flavour is extremely rich and robust, with loads of bourbon barrel and vanilla without any burn, followed by robust roasted malt, some dark chocolate and a perfect punch of hops to counterbalance. Superbly used bourbon barrels, with perfect sweetness, barrel, roast and hop character. One of the best local BA imperial stouts to date.
