Bottled. Coppery amber colour with a small off-white head. Aroma is lemon, caramel, some ripe fruits, mild chocolaty tones with some slight alcohol sweetness. Flavour is caramel, some alcohol, ripe fruits, chocolate and mild toasted and nutty tones. Good sipper, and alcohol is not annoyingly strong in this one.

Hazy brown colour, practically no head at all; aroma of raisins and dried cherry soaked into cognac, some dark chocolate, caramel, soy sauce and herbal notes, taste is basically the sam with some minimal woody-red wine, as well as acetone-like and sourish notes (as if a slight amount of gueuze had been mixed to it); great one!

Almost clear dark amber beer, pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and semi dry with mild fine carbonation. Rich malts that never get stodgy. Caramel - toffee, slightly dark and bitter. Thin malt cream. Nice spicy marmalade on the back end. A savoury vibe develops along with a little aniseed. Semi dry spicy finish. Nice barleywine, it’s full of flavour and has some muscle but remains light.

Bottled, from La Cave à Bulles, Paris. Lightly hazy copper colour, small head. Aroma of cocoa. lemon yoghurt and caramel. Fairly sweet with full body and soft mouthfeel. Nice, mouth filling mature port-like caramelly flavours. Mid bitter finish. Well made.

bouteille 33cl BB 10/2014.
