Brewed with Chocolate and Crystal malts, this Dark Mild has some roasted notes of chocolate and coffee. Staying true to style, the beer is lower in alcohol and remains fairly light in flavour and mouthfeel.

Poured from the tap. Clear amber with off white head. Light toasted malt, little bit of bread. It’s okay.

Very faint malt on the nose, has a dark clear brown body with a ring of soft foam. Flavour is basically nothing with a very faint biscuit aftertaste. Mouthfeel is kind of watery. A miss for a mild ale.

Bottle thanks to Ferris. Pours a dark amber with small off white head that lasts. The aroma is toasted malt and raisin. Thin body, bready malt, bitter, metallic finish, nah.

Clear, medium brown pour with a creamy tan head. Some decent sweet toasted malts, chocolate, light caramel. Thin. Not a powerhouse but something I could have quick pint of relatively regularly. Solid.

Golden-brown. Thin head. It’s very watery but has a nice toastiness. Lacks the residual sugars that give a good mild its body and complexity.

On tap. Pours a mahogany color with moderate head. Aromas of toasted malts, dry sugar and grass. Flavors follow same with burnt toast and an odd herbal note.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark color, near black. The aroma is a bit bready, too mild. The mouthfeel is smooth, the flavor is a bit bready and chocolatey, the final is rather weak and watery, not too bad.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a deep dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, some dark dried fruits, and earthy notes. Flavour is very laid back, with earthy notes, toasted biscuity notes and a touch of dry cocoa. Earthy, dry finish. Clean and nicely constructed. Solid.
