Extase is a Double IPA with a blend of fourteen excellent hops, very intense and with a balanced character. The slight sweetness of the malt sugars and the alcohol complement the bitterness of the beer. Extase does up to its name with its extreme hoppiness (over 100 IBU). A beer with stratification: because of the diversity of hops the beer tastes something differently with the gradual warming by every sip. A delight for every ‘hophead’.

Hazy amber, small white froth. Peachy, caramely aroma, tropical fruit. Sweet flavour, caramely, fruity. Has a little citrus peel and lasting piney bitterness. Well balanced and nicely drinkable. ABV well hidden, just a light warmth in the finish.

A bottle shared with friends at Pivoteka Zagreb in autumn 2017. Thanks! Murky dark golden, small off-white head. Aroma hops are gone here, this is old. Malty, candy, toasty and cardboard. Sweet and lousy. Strong, awful, medium body, moderate carbonation, dry finish. Count this rate as a statistical error, as I see the beer is otherwise good. Would love to try a fresh one!

Bottle at Nuetnigenough, 6,50€. Dark orange color, very murky, massive white head expansive rocky and not with willing to settle. Huge hoppy nose. Aroma is resin, a LOT of hops with massive juicy malt foundation as well as a lot of yeast. As the best in class, plenty of caramel malt, a little burned, fruity tones of ripe fruit, exotic, flowers, grapefruit, ginger, apricot, mango, balsamic mountain herbs. Body is well, structured, full, complex, massive, relatively soft carbonation, creamy texture. Taste is just perfect, sweet juicy then violently bitter. Long smooth finish yet mildly dry. Wow, amazing, pure extasy indeed. Beware this is alcoholic. Stuff to have just once in a while or it will kill you (and won’t be bad tough...)
