A heavy, copper colored, bittersweet and extreme hopped beer.

Extase is a Double IPA with a blend of fourteen excellent hops, very intense and with a balanced character. The slight sweetness of the malt sugars and the alcohol complement the bitterness of the beer. Extase does up to its name with its extreme hoppiness (over 100 IBU). A beer with stratification: because of the diversity of hops the beer tastes something differently with the gradual warming by every sip. A delight for every ‘hophead’.

Pours a hazy orangey golden color, topped with a big fluffy and lasting off white head. Sweet fruity notes are easily picked up in the aroma. Some biscuity malt presence. Sweet and fruity start, Very decent bitterness with a sharp finish. Some alcohol can be felt, a bit more of it later on. Slightly spicy aftertaste. Not bad. Quite strong.

Gelaagd hopmonster, het zoet is net een beetje te veel suikerachtig. Verder een heel verfijnd biertje! Backlog from 2015/01/27.

Bottle at Reading Beer Festival 2015. Cloudy gold orange colour lasting cream head. Flowery hoppy aroma some sweet malt. Some decent pink grapefruit on the finish. Sweet Dutch malts some hop. OK Tangerine zest. Certainly woke me up. And for that I appreciate it. After 3 hours with a hangover at the beer festival this cured it.
