A heavy, copper colored, bittersweet and extreme hopped beer.

Extase is a Double IPA with a blend of fourteen excellent hops, very intense and with a balanced character. The slight sweetness of the malt sugars and the alcohol complement the bitterness of the beer. Extase does up to its name with its extreme hoppiness (over 100 IBU). A beer with stratification: because of the diversity of hops the beer tastes something differently with the gradual warming by every sip. A delight for every ‘hophead’.

In Leuven at the ZBF. Fantastic appearance, hazy orange vivid with a tick white foam which lasts quite long. Nose of yeast, grass, smoked cheese. Great mouth: balanced bouquet of fresh fruits, notes of grass and yeast. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Hazy amber beer, big pale cream coloured head. Palate is airy and semi dry. Mild fine carbonation. Big sweet creamy malt, very sweet. Touch of evaporated/condensed milk. Hops are spicy pine with a little orange and a touch of peachy tropical fruits. Smooth finish. Mild bitter linger. Interesting - 14 hops in this DIPA and yet so much milky sweetness from the malt. Decent though!

An orange beer with a hansom, dense, blond and big head. The nose is fruitfull, tropical mangos and sweet citrusfruits. Nice aroma is mix of fruits of fermenting and tropical hops. Taste is tropical fruity, also some other fruits, lots of pine needles and citrusfruits, some herbs. The bitterness is strong and that is nicely balanced with sweetness of body, the overall impression is still nicely dry. Medium+ bodied, fresh and easy to drink that is quite rare to DIPA. Now I can say that Extase is enjoyable DIPA, strongly bitter and easy to drink, tropical fruity and piney.

Helle bernstein Farbe, schöne stabile Schaumkrone. Geruch sehr malzig würzig, hopfig, fruchtig. Geschmack startet süß malzig, dann kommt eine angenehme fruchtige Bittere die sich etwas hält. Leicht alkoholisch.

Bottle from Bierkompass.de. Golden to amber, hazy body, with medium, frothy and creamy white head, that leaves a fair lacing. Nice, fresh aroma of grapefruit, citrus, some mango and other fruits, candy, grassy notes. Taste of grapefruit, candy, some tropical fruits, yeast, grassy and bready malt backbone. Mouthfeel is medium, pretty creamy, with a lively carbonation and a complex and alcohol warming finish, with bitter grapefruit and lemon peel, some fruity and candy sweetness and also pretty dry. Tasty! Although I’m missing a bit more of the noble Belgian yeast, this is still one of the very best Belgian DIPAs, greatly balanced and with interesting aromas!
