Brewed with whole peppercorns and rye malt, this saison has a great depth of spicy flavours complimented by earthy hops from France and Slovenia.

Bottle from the LCBO.
Pours a hazy yellow, with a large white head. Aroma is bretty, and there are hints of funk. Solid wheat aromas, with a zippy, zesty lemon edge, and some bright green hop cones. mouth feel and carb are very nice, and on the lively side. The finish is medium bitter, more zesty lemon notes, can't really find the red wine barrel at all, and same goes for the rye of the peppercorns. Maybe there is the slightest hint of spice in the end from the rye, but really its tough to find. overall a nice saison, but i cant find any of these other flavourings.

Thanks to a bandmate and his girlfriend for this one for my birthday. Pours a hazy golden-orange colour with a big frothy warm-beige head, long lasting giving some thick foamy lace. Earthy notes in the nose with some fruity malts. Apples, mild citrus. The taste is also earthy, reminding me of Brett. Hints of oranges and apples again, with some light spiciness. Written 2 months in red wine barrels, but hard to feel this, as not grape-ish, nor sweet. Maybe a dry red wine, as mild dryness in the finish (but really seems to come from the hops). Which are well-chosen BTW.

A hazed golden saison with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with light Brett, light lactic notes, light cork, curacao, very nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with light Brett, light curacao, coriander, light perfumy notes, very nice and balanced. Bottle at Mondial 2018.

Bouteille 750ml, gracieuseté de Adamsville, merci Dominic! Couleur ambrée foncée trouble, mousse blanche meringuée laissant une épaisse dentelle. Arôme de levure, poivré, boisé, légèrement vineux. Goût vineux, levure, fruité, légère amertume, malt. Carbonatation moyenne-élevée, corps moyen, soyeux.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy opaque orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out farmhouse yeast, earthy rye, and light spiciness. Flavour is very spicy, with lots of earthiness, farmhouse yeast, and spiciness. Not picking the red wine barrels up. Spicy and earthy. Really well-rounded. Unusual in its spicy and earthy complexity. Delicious.

Cloudy, tan. Bubbly head. The first thing that comes off the nose is pretty, and some pale notes. Spicy taste, nice mellow pale malt sweetness, with brett over top of it. You get a little bit of peppery character on the tongue. Rounded, nice sweetness...is that the red wine influence? Might be. I’m liking this one. Almost reminds me of Pipaix brews back in the early 2000s.
