On tap at Devil's Elbow. Pours clear gold with a white head. Lots of coffee on the nose with some dry grass and biscuit malts. Flavour is a bit less impressive with the coffee coming across very earthy, like grounds at the bottom of the cup. Not bad.

A pale golden lager with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with light coffee notes, light mineral notes, pleasant. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with light coffee, vanilla, very nice. On tap at brewery.

On tap. Pours a clear pale yellow-gold with a medium, foamy, long lasting, off-white head that laces nicely. Mild, sweet aroma of grainy malt, honey and light coffee. Sweet flavour of grainy pale malt, caramel, honey, coffee and floral hops in a dry, mild bitter finish. Light body with a watery texture and average carbonation. The coffee was a bit too thin and mild for me.

650 ml bottle. Pours a clear amber with light head. Aromas of fresh pressed coffee. Flavors of mocha and fresh ground. There is no lager left. Got to say nice coffee flavor, but expecting it would be much more subtle to match the base and show some delicate malts. A bit of a sledgehammer...

Foam is just all right, on top of strongly carbonated yellow. Aroma is lots of coffee with a hint of lemon, in fact it works quite well and is surprisingly balanced. Flavour is a mellow coffee kick on top of a nice breadiness in the lager. This actually works quite well despite what I was expecting.

Light gold colour. Soft and sweet and nice grain notes. Nice malts on this one. Mellow coffee - good balance on this one.

Draft - Dark roast cold press coffee. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Nice coffee notes and a bit of bitterness with a long coffee finish. Not bad.

On tap at 12 Kings, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out potent espresso upfront without much else to speak of. Flavour brings out a more muted, earthy espresso, with a dry bready malt base. Smells much more inviting than it tastes. Underwhelming.

Draught at 12 Kings, Vancouver
Murky orange-color, creamy head. Nice aroma of coffee jar, before brewing. Dry mouthfeel, light beery flavor, with moderate coffee flavor, not roasty, but still it doesn’t fit at all.
Not a bad beer, but you want beer or coffee, you can’t have both; this one, like other coffee beers, is not convincing.
