Sampled @ the brewery. Unclear amber brown body with a rather small beige head. Strong aroma of malt, caramel, dry fruit, brown sugar, slightly acidic berries and warming alcohol. Rich in flavor, strong sweet malt, caramel, dry fruit, brown sugar, wood, pine, nice bitterness, hint of acid making a great balance for the sweetness and good, warming alcohol. Perfectly balanced body and actually a very good balance in flavors and sweetness/bitterness all over. Long lasting and very nice aftertaste. Alcohol is not boozy, just warming. Fantastic, great and wonderful.

High alcohol and you can taste it. But it's good. Could use a little more body maybe. But for an imperial brown it's quite good, no off flavours. 2016 advent calendar.

Tasting at Matt’s
Malty brew, caramel, some chocolate, light pine, moderately sweet, a bit too much alcohol perception.

330mL bottle, pours a deep dark brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out some spruce-like notes, with earthy notes, and toasted bready malt. Flavour is quite bold, with lots of phenols, toasted malt, and toasted caramel. Boozy and messy. It's okay.

Has a hazy light brown colour. Has a light smoky nose, with a bit of a toasty character. A bit yeasty ,but I like the mellow smoke interplay with a bit of that molasses in the back. Is that dryness late the oak? Well, it’s an interesting brown, if not adventurous

330ml bottle from 2016 craft beer advent calendar. Pours a hazy red-brown with a medium, short lived, beige head that leaves spotty lacing. Sweet aroma of caramel malt, dried fruit, brown sugar, oak and booze. Sweet flavour of caramel malt, wheat, dark fruit, brown sugar and oak with a warming booze finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Nice.
