750mL bottle, sent from yourilevesque (thanks Youri!), pours a cloudy golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of brett, oak and light vinous notes. Flavour is dry and oaky, with lots of bretty farmhouse funk upfront, followed by dry oak, a touch of wine, and light citrus. Oaky and bretty on the finish, but gets rather bitter at the end. Solid, but not the best of the series.

750 ml bottle. Pour a dull amber with moderate pancake batter head. Aromas of fruity Belgian yeast, nectarines, and soapy malts. Flavors of oak, peppery mashed fruit, grapes, dry nectarines, and sharp toasted malts. The lead up wasn’t impressive but the flavor and finish certainly are.

Dull, hazy, not much head. Dry, s bit of toasty. Has a touch of yeastiness and berryish esters.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy golden color. Mild aroma, some funk, light fruit, very light hazelnuts. Strong flavor, the Brett dominates, mildly funky upfront, more astringent and orangey in the final. Strong bitterness from the yeast too.
Good, aggressive; but tasted side to side with the #2 this is not as complex and it’s less harmonious.

On tap at St. Augustine’s during 1st 45 taps annual event with Alex and Josh. Pours a hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is barrel, fruity, sour. Pretty same taste with moderate level of bitterness and low sweetness. Very good hopped sour.

Bottle - Nice and funky with some grape notes. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Lots of funk, some barrel bitterness and a long finish. Very nice.
