Originally conceived as a Belgian Tripel, the addition of a heap of aromatic hops resulted in Transmutation – our signature seasonal release. Slightly sweet and effervescent, with a Northwest hop influence, this medium-bodied beer is made with hand-crafted Candi sugar and is dangerously smooth.

Can shared at Hori, koszi Elod! Ez a friss batch mar sokkal tisztabb, es kozelebb all a klasszik belga peldakhoz (marmint ahhoz kepest, mint amilyen anno lehetett a regebbi ertekelesek alapjan), meg ha nem is jon kozel a tradicionalis belga klasszikusokhoz.

Amber pour, beige head. Aroma. Is incredibly boozy, with loads of vegetal yeastiness, and a cloying amount of candied sugar. Finish is cloyingly sweet with an odd canned vegetal flavour. This bares zero resemblance to a tripel, or anything Belgian. This was rough.

Poured from the 650mL bottle. Hazy orange with minimal off-white head. Cloying sweetness with vegetable and hint of wood. Very poor example of a tripel.

Draft - Lots of woody almost cedar notes. Copper gold with a decent white head. Woody and sweet boozy yeasty notes. A bold beer.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Hazy amber color. Light aroma of rotten apples. Strong body, it has some residual sweetness, again that feeling of rotting apples, light fruity esters, and a woody, unpleasant bitterness in the final.
Difficult to control high-gravity fermentation…
Not very good.

On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a clear cooper / amber with a small beige head. Aroma is subtle, with notes of Belgian yeast and candied sugar. Flavour is nastily sweet, with cloying-as-hell candied sugar and Belgian yeast. Cough syrup finish. Everything I hate about North American attempts at tripels. Nasty amount of residual sugar. Very bad.

650 ml bottle. Pours a very dark amber with moderate head. Aromas of dried fruit and sweet malts with definite vegetal notes. Very strong vegetal flavor - seems to be a good example of a DMS process problem. Drainpour.
