Roast and toasty rye. Dark brown pour with decent head and lacing. Some caramel, dark chocolate. Bittersweet finish. Pleasant. Tap at Lake Country location

On tap at Brittania Brewing Steveston. Clear dark cola colour with a slow fading khaki coloured head that leaves stringy lace. Nose is dark chocolate and molasses. Light sweet molasses with a light dark chocolate bitterness. Would expect a bit of Spice from the rye, but not really in evidence. Mouth is medium with soft carbonation. 7/3+/7/3/14

A deep brown porter with a very thin mocha head. In aroma, nice chocolate malt with light grassy hops. In mouth, a rather chalky mineral chocolate malt with light grassy hops, plain.

Has an okay modest foam and semi-clear muddy dark brown body. Aroma is sweet barley and brown sugar. Flavour is big brown sugar with hints of molasses. Lots of sugar on the mouthfeel. It's okay but a very sweet porter.

On tap. Pours a dark reddish brown with moderate head. Aromas of creamy chocolate malts. Flavors follow same with additional nuts and chocolate, and only a hint of sharp rye. Surprisingly smooth for a rye porter. Nice for the ABV.

Medium brown, toasty, light, bit of chocplate...easy drinking porter, not bad, though not exactly thought-provoking either.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Dark brown color, almost black, with shiny mahogany hue, and creamy beige head. Mild aroma and flavor of dark bread, with hints of chocolate, light residual sweetness, low bitterness, light roasted nuts in the final, and light fruity esters.
Clean and pleasant.

Draft - Light roast and some toast. Deep brown with a light beige head. Tastes as it smells with a light body. Solid Porter.

On tap at Britannia Restaurant, pours a dark reddish brown with a small beige head. Aroma brings out toasted malt and subdued dry cocoa. Flavour is along the same lines, with toasted malt and hints of cocoa. Weak and underwhelming, even for the style. Okay, but missing oomph.
