Brewers, stop using ginger in your beers! Another nice beer ruined by incredibly overpowering ginger. The aroma is all earthy, lemony ginger. There is also a strong pithy bitterness thag is accompanied again by overwhelming ginger Aroma and flavour. The ginger completel dominates and turns thus into a very hitter ginger beer. Meh.

Tasting at Matt’sHazy amber color. Aroma of ginger, soap, vegetables. Good body, some caramel flavor, earthy, the base beer seems ok, but the ginger spoins the experience, till the final with vegetable bitterness.
Not good.

Bottle - Creamy ginger notes. Clearish gold with a decent white head. Bitter ginger, with a bit of a bite and a creamy wheat. Solid.

Light brown. Haze. Thin head. The aroma is quite gingery. Taste is fairly gingery, has a light body, quite refreshing. The ginger dominates, and the weissebier character is understated, but manifests in a fair bit of sweetness.

750mL bottle, pours a cloudy amber orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lovely fresh ginger notes upfront, followed by oranges, and some citrus hops. Flavour is very fresh, with loads of ginger root upfront, followed by orange fruitiness, and bright citrus hops. The ginger is situated very well, being the prime element without overtaking the other characteristics. Surprisingly good.

A hazed amber ale with a thin white head. In aroma, sweet fruity malt with loads of ginger, cloves, fruity esters, light mineral notes, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity malt with loads of ginger, orange pulp, coriander, curacao, very nice and smooth. On tap at Beau’s Oktoberfest 2016.

Part of their Oktoberfest mixed pack for 2016. Pours a mild hazy golden-amber colour with an off-white head, great retention and creamy lacing. Aromas of barley malts and light ginger. The ginger adds some sharpness to the taste, all well-blended with the hops. Decent bitterness with the ginger snap in the aftertaste. Quite a nice brew, without the spice being too overpowering.

Bottle from the LCBO in the Oktoberfest taster pack. Cloudy medium amber under a large pillowy off white head that hangs around. Nose is dominated by ginger with the base beer’s wheat, banana and pepper taking a back seat and just a touch of tropical fruit in the background. Ginger dominates the taste as well adding more spice than necessary over the light sweet malt base with just light bitterness coming through. Mouth is medium with active carbonation and a dry finish. Doesn’t really improve on the original. 7/4/5-/4-/13
