35,5cl bottle from Lørenskog brusshop. Pours hazy orange with just a hint of a head. Fruity aroma with malt, hops, citrus and hints of spices and pine. Some basements aromas too. Sweet and fruity with a lightly sour and lightly bitter finish. Almost flat carbonation. Could be that the beer is past it’s expiration date, but I’m not able to locate it on the bottle. Okay pale ale, but I’ll probably have to re-try it with a fresher bottle.

Hazy amber beer, little white head. Semi crisp palate. Orange and grapefruit hops and a little dry malt. A mild sourness about this which may be indicative of the infection problems associated with Shorts new brewery. Shame - good beer waiting to get out.

35,5 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 12.12.2010
Aroma is sourish with some lactic acid and hints of hops. Flavour is also somewhat sour and feels a bit contaminated. It has some berries typical to danish ales and hints of hops. I’ve observed these aromas also with Bellaire Brown – I wonder if they have some problem at Shorts Brewing?

color and aroma are really interesting for a pale ale which normally sticks to the hazy yellow-ish variety, but this had a really interesting red tinge to it, aroma seemed to hoppy obviously, but a little malt backer that kept my attention, taste was dissapointing however, nothing unusual here, bland pale ale.

Bottle @ home. A touch hazy, red-orange appearance with an off-white head. Piney, earthy hoppy, dark citrusy, slightly bitter aroma. Somewhat bitter, dull citrusy, earthy hoppy, rye(?), pale malty flavor. Bleh.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 10/14/2011. This beer is a ruddy amber color with a medium white head that evaporates steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Fruity hops in the nose along with some grainy malt. Medium body with flavors of citrusy hops, sweet malt and a bit of earth. The finish is mildly bitter hops with a fruity aftertaste. Decent overall.
