This massive Double IPA is big enough to be called a Triple IPA. We had to fill the mash tun with grain three times to get enough sugar into this bad boy. The repeated brewing to get it right nearly killed both Jerry and Adam, but resulted in one potent beer. The final gravity is the same as the original gravity on So Single It’s Half. Lots and lots of malt was used to build enough backbone to hold up the true feature: the hops. Bittered with Zythos and flavored and dry-hopped with Falconer’s Flight, the bitterness is enough to flatten even the most seasoned hophead. We used nearly 4 pounds of hops per barrel of beer! The prominent flavors are fruits of all kinds (tropical, citrus, apple, cherry, etc.), a little pine-y touch, and hints of toffee and caramel. The high alcohol is also very noticeable. There is a good burn to accompany the smoothness.

On tap at Bitter Phew. Fletchfighters, this is what triple IPAs taste like. Its perfect. Yes, its syrupy. Orange amber body, minimal head, sour orange/citrus aroma. Sip, slowly. Malt, citrus, apples, vanilla come in and out. Warmth sneaks up on you. I had to go half way around the world to find this....

On tap at Delirium Hoppy Loft, Bruxelles. Pours orange with small white head. Caramel and fruits in aroma. Sweetish, caramel flavor with some hops. Alcohol is warming but not offensive. Nice one.

Keg@Orsted Olbar Slightly hazy orange color, small off-white head. Aroma has rye and citrus and some kind of wood, resin. Medium to full-bodied. Of couse it’s quite glueish. And sweet, almost sugary, syrupy and sticky. Behind the sweetness there is resin and some citrus. No burning alcohol, sweetness covers it. Extreme.

Nice beer, but with too much alcohol. The huge amounts of hops is noticable, but due to the high alcohol vol, the beer has a dominant sweetness that makes it taste more like a barley wine than an IPA.

Thx! to Antoine. Sampled draft @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Appearance is thick caramel, little white head. Nose is very sweet grapefruit hop concentrate, huge marmalade, syrupy, thick bitterness, booze,… Taste is thick sweet grapefruit, almost syrupy, pine resin goo, marmalade, thick caramel, pineapple, some floral bitterness, sweet malts, alcohol in a good way, thick malts,… Very full thick mouthfeel, lots of malts, hop concentrate,… Pretty freaking awesome. Beats Hopverdomme heavily at its own game.

Draft @ Hoppy Loft.

On tap @ Beer Temple. Clear amber/copper color. Uneven, off white head. Aroma’s: caramel, resin (nicely balanced), a bit grain, with toffee and resin retronasal. Flavor is sweet and lightly bitter. 15% not detectable, but the body is full, thick mouthfeel. Finishes rather dry, a bit herbal, medium bitter. Not bad, but too sweet to bee dubbed (D)IPA.
