Anchor Steam Beer - brewed for the first time in 1896 - owes its deep amber color, thick, creamy head, and rich, distinctive flavor to a historic brewing process like none other. It is a process that combines deep respect for craft brewing tradition with many decades of evolution to arrive at a unique approach: a blend of pale and caramel malts, fermentation with lager yeast at warmer ale temperatures in shallow open-air fermenters, and gentle carbonation in our cellars through an all-natural process called kräusening.

355 ml bottle. Pours dark golden to amber coloured, big long-lasting fluffy head. Floral notes, malts, citrus, metal, grass. Medium bitterness. Light bodied, soft carbonated. Long-lasting metallic bitter aftertaste. Crisp and fresh. Very nice Lager. Reminds me on a crossover of a Amber Lager and a hoppy Pilsener.

Bottle at Curator. T3 at Heathrow. Pours Amber with a decent off white head. Aroma is grain and a solid malty backbone. Taste is a big grain hit, a little softness that balances out with caramel and malt sweetness. Carbonation nice. Not bad

Beatiful dark copper but still transparent. Big and quite dense head, the slightest off-white. Good retention and some lacing. Simple, clean and quite vivid aroma of caramel malts and stone fruits with a bit of floral hops on the back. Taste follows the aroma. Medium sweet and medium bitter with a slightly bitter finish of floral or maybe tea-like hops. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Overall a rather simple but highly enjoyable beer. Good.

Bottle from Pezinská pivná pumpa. Quite yeasty aroma with just little of any fruity tones. Taste is relatively flat, not exactly my to my preference. But yeah, for this style it's OK and this beer has only very few flaws if any. Good.

355 ml bottle. Pours with a clear, dark amber color with a very nice off-white head. Aromas of orange-peel, syrup, dark honey, hay. Taste is herbal with bitter flavors, although some grapes. Nice mouthfeeling. Nice dry finish.

Butelka 355ml BARWA: głęboki złoty odcień, idealnie klarowne. PIANA: biała, obfita, drobno pęcherzykowa, szybko się dziurawi i opadaja do cienkiego krążka. AROMAT: zbożowo-ciasteczkowy z nutą karmelową, delikatnie drewniany aromat SMAK: słodowość, przełamania dość wyraźną ziołową goryczk, ściąga boki jezyka, dość długo się utrzymuje, wytrawny finisz. Średnio pełne z wysyceniem średnio wysokim. Jeżeli chodzi o styl to trochę nuda, w dobie ciekawych aromatycznych chmieli niczym nie zaskakuje, nie moja bajka.
