On tap. Pours a light mahogany with light head. Aromas of oaky booze, orange peel and caramel malts. Flavors of burnt sugar, green oak and grain alcohol. Very rough and nasty.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear golden with a white head. Aroma is amazing - some oak, whiskey, red apple, caramel. Taste is just the same, quite boozy. Woody, whiskey, dry aftertaste. Wow - excellent and very good balanced stuff, despite quite high booziness.

Draught at the brewery
Bright amber color, clean. The aroma definitively brings notes of oak, some apple and glue as well. Sweeter than the regular Barley Wine, a bit more of malt depth, but hidden behind a huge boozy note and evident barrel.
Too boozy, but the base beer is better than the regular Barley Wine, I like this more than that.

No head, amber and has an amber. Syrup, light sticky syrup. Watery, not a lot of character, nutty, alcohol is covered but one dimensional. Barrel not evident

Draft - High alcohols and fruity notes. Clear copper with almost no head. Lots of wood and caramel with some more high alcohols. A bit everywhere and not pleasant.

On tap at Old Abbey, pours a hazy orange amber with a tiny head. Nose is very boozy, with lots of oak, liqueur, and perfume. Flavour is hot, with perfume, varnish, loads of alcohol and dark fruits. All over the place, extremely messy and very harsh. Completely disharmonious and difficult to drink.
