Cascade and galaxy hops? Where?! In this beer? Seriously!? You got me.... I give up, where are you hiding them, cause I sure as hell can’t find them. What little hops there are, are pretty bland and slightly piney. The subtle.bops are well balanced with the soft caramel, cereal malts. This is pretty boring, right up sleeman’s alley.

This session poured a medium Amber colour with a quickly dissipating, spore like head. Scents include honey, hops and caramel. First swig was quite good with medium/low hop level and nice maltyness. I’m not a big fan of Sleeman but this is a lot better than the rest. Finish is slightly bitter with honey/grassy notes lingering.

Can: Poured a light amber color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention. Aroma of light dry citrusy notes is a bit light for style. Taste is a mix of light dry caramel malt with some dry citrusy malt with no floral undertones. Body is about average with good carbonation. Bland and doesn’t have much hops presence.

Bottle - Very Skunky with a touch of toast. Clear gold with a small white head. Touch of skunk and a plain finish. Smells horrible and tastes marginally better.

Tasting at Matt’s
Golden color, poor head. I feel like I’m sniffing a bag of stale bread and drinking liquid breadcrumbs.
Ridiculously bad.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy pale golden. Nose is disgustingly skunky, loads of skunk cabbage and vegetal notes -- nasty. Flavour is nearly as bad, with skunky cabbage notes. Disgusting shit. Drain pour.

Pours a clean light amber colour with a warm cap and creamy lacing. Mildly sweet malt aromas with caramel notes and light fruity grain. Same for taste with a little rusty-hoppy finish. Refreshing mineral water feel with the mild cereal and hops blend lingering. Not a session IPA (which seems to be the going thing this year), but a decent session ale.
