Most definitely, this first and foremost a wheat ale. You can taste the wheat from start to finish. A faint toasted note from the addition of flaked oats is present in the beer as well. This is a light bodied beer that finishes with a spicy layer in the end. The overall impression should be an easy-to-drink refreshing ale.

Bottled on 07/26/12 - Pours clear yellow with a foamy white head. Aroma of stingy and zesty fruits, tart notes, hints of spices. Taste has a lot of tangy citrus fruits, hints of tartness, some spices and grassy hops. Finish is sweetish and fruity. Nice and light, juicy fruit bomb.

750ml bottle. Cloudy orangey golen colour with average, frothy, moderately lacing, fairly lasting, white head. Fruity and minimally spicy aroma. Taste is initially clean wheaty, almost Kristallweizen-like, later moderately sweet fruity and slightly dry spicy with notes of orange and fruit parings.

750 ml corked and caged bottle. Clear straw gold color topped by a big fluffy white head. Yeasty wheat malt aroma with hints of sulfur and citrus peel. Zesty, bready malt flavor. Salty and lightly bitter, like lemon peel. Brief dryish finish. Refreshing and flavorful, a nice example of a Begian Witbier.

Hazy golden straw coloured body with a thinnish, two centimetre tall white head. Aroma of hay, grass, coriander seed, grass, herbs, sage and a bit of light sugars - nice. Medium-bodied; Nice grassy, herbal fresh flavour with a lot of coriander seed, nutmeg, curacao and a bit of bubble gum. Aftertaste shows mostly herbal and grassy notes with a nice fresh flavour and some subdued sweetness. Overall, a good fresh flavour with a lot of spices, some good malty and earthy flavours with a nice complex finish - very good for the style, with some corn tastes at the very end. I sampled this 75 cL bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 09-September-2012 for US$8.95 sampled at home in Washington on 06-October-2012.

Enjoyed in a snifter. Bright cloudy yellow. Scent is wheat heavy with hints of grass and lemon. Taste is very bland, muted, sort of meh. Kind of grassy and nice citrus with a decent wheat backbone. Medium body.

Location: 750 ml bottle from Buy Rite, 9/13/12, Bottled 7/26/12
Aroma: The aroma is heavy on clove and wheat, with some bubblegum and banana
Appearance: It pours a hazed yellow color with a fizzy white head and drippy white lace
Flavor: Tastes fairly sweet, lots of wheat and bubblegum like the nose, and a clove/spice hop balance
Palate: The body is medium, leaning light, with a rather fizzy carbonation, and a lightly dry finish
Overall Impression: I thought this one was a very solid wheat, but I was a little disappointed considering it is a 95 in the style AND from Lost Abbey (who make some of the best Belgian-style beers of any American brewery). Generally speaking, I'd call it "solid-to-good for the style," but from a meeting my expectations perspective, it isn't quite there.

0.75l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This one pours at first clear golden body, but it got more cloudy as we reached the bottom of the bottle, and it has a small and quite quickly sidesticking just off-white head. The aroma on this one is surprisingly acidic actually. Lemons perhaps? Also lots of nice coriander tones, a good sweetness and hints of wheat. It's average carbonated and it has a smooth oily texture in the mouth. Flavors are classic wit; coriander spicy, some yeast, orange zest and a mild peppery and flour-ish finish. A nice and quite tasty uncomplicated straightforward wit! 16.06.2012

750 mL bottle. Pours pale gold with a medium, off-white head. The aroma is lemons, cut grass, cereals, and coriander. The flavor is sugary sweetness and a very light tart note in the finish. The palate is light to medium, effervescent, and crisp. Overall, this is an fairly ordinary witbier, but well made and tasty.
