This beer originally debuted in Pilsen, Czechoslovakia and quickly gained popularity in other brewing countries. Light to medium bodied, with noticeable hop aroma and flavour thanks to generous additions of Saaz hops.

Clear grassy yellow body and okay foam, very faint hops on the nose but barely noticeable. Flavour is more grassy hops, soft grain and a cloying alcohol finish. A very working class approach to beer - you are just trying to drink enough to forget what it tastes like.

On tap at Longwood Brewpub, pours a clear copper with a beige head. Aroma brings out toasted grains and some straw. Flavour is dry and rather neutral overall, with toasted grains and straw. Not much depth, no real grassy bite. Lacking.

Draft - Light buttery grains. Pale gold with a decent white head. Light buttery and vegetal sweetness. Touch of grain in the finish, not good.

Draught at the brewpub
Blond color; small creamy head. The aroma is lightly fruity, the flavor too; dry mouthfeel, with light malt flavor; correct bitterness. Atypical but decent.

Straw colour with chill haze. Fresh pale malt aroma with a hint of minty hops and background phenols (bubblegum). Definite stable taste - dung and hay. Very husky malts. Earthy finish.
