Cask days 2015. Jet black, medium mocha head. silky oily mouth feel, soft carb. Huge aroma of super dark espresso, loads of bitter cocoa, and lots of woody barrel, with subtle sweet vanilla. The finish is medium to high bitter, strong dark roast, and soy finish. Light licorice, and pine resin in the end with a woody, sweet, vanilla. Complex, and super tasty.

Bottle: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a nice large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of dry coffee notes with light vanilla notes is interesting. Taste is a mix of dry coffee notes with some roasted malt, black chocolates note some vanilla and light green pepper notes. Body is about average with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol notes. Enjoyable even though I could do with less green pepper notes.

Tasting at Ferris’
Black color, still and oily, headless. Smells and tastes like vanilla chocolate, moderately sweet, and some tobacco. Nice but also a bit artificial. Boozy final.
Nice powerful drink, no elegance here though.

Bottle - Chocolate and tons of vanilla. Deep jet black with a nice brown head. Lots of sweet vanilla and a roasty sweet finish. Big sweet vanilla bomb.

A deep dark stout with a thin light brown head. In aroma, sweet chocolate malt with loads of mocha coffee, nutty notes, vanilla bean extract, musty and interesting. In mouth, a sweet chocolate malt with loads of mocha coffee, vanilla, coffee crisp chocolate bar, and warming alcohol, very nice. Cask Days 2015.
