The love-child of Jerkface 9000 and Nectarous we’ve been waiting for. A wheat malt base kettle soured a la Four Winds, and late hopped with Mosaic and Ahtanum hops in the Parallel 49 style. A true marriage of techniques and ingredients results is a pungent dry-hopped sour.

On tap at P49. Pours an almost clear pale golden with a white head. Aroma is fruity, with some ascorbic and fruit vinegar notes. Taste is sour, dry, crispy, with some red currant notes, ascorbic. Quite pleasant, but ascorbic notes are not needed here in my opinion.

341ml bottle. Pours a hazy pale yellow with a large, fizzy, short lived, white head that laces. Sweet, fruity aroma of citrus, nectarine, peach and tropical fruit. Sweet flavour of lemon, stone fruit and wheat malt with a dry, tart, acidic finish. Light body with an oily texture and lively carbonation. Much better than I expected.

Hazy straw. Has a big nectarine aroma, sweet and fruity. Has a tart, fruity nectarine character, light balancing malts, just the right tartness underneath.

341 ml bottle. Pours a clear light gold with moderate head. Aromas of grapes, gooseberries, wheat, and winegums. Flavors of sour gummies, mixed tart fruit, and clean but muted wheat. Quite tart. Tasty - I could drink a lot of this.

Draft - Tart and acidic stone fruit. Clear gold with a small white head. Light sweetness and some tart yeasty stone fruit. Little chalky and OK, but think both beers are better not combined.

On tap at Parallel 49, pours a clear blonde with a small white head. Aroma is quite astringent with the floral dry hopping quite aggressive, with citrus tartness and some strange earthy funk. Flavour is quite puckering, with loads of citrus tartness, floral dry hopping and an ascorbic finish. Pretty decent stuff, despite somewhat of a harsh astringency.

Draught at the brewery
Blond color, just hazy, almost no head. Strong aroma of lactic acid and some citrus fruits. Dry, with a sharp lactic acidity character, lemon peel, a bit of cedar; some woody bitterness in the final.
Clean, refreshing; excellent.
