When the autumn leaves begin to fall, then it’s time to savour Maneblusser Bok. This pale amber beer is brewed with 2 varieties of barley malt, wheat malt and oats. It is made with 3 types of hops and seasoned with curaçao. The result? A fine balance between bitter and sweet, with hints of ripe fruit. Just like autumn, it tastes mellow, full-bodied and heart-warming. Ideal after a brisk autumn walk!

Bottled. An amber beer with a lazing beige head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, a bit light bodied for being 6.5% ABV.

Corked bottle
Dark amber color with a red hue; creamy head. The aroma is very simple, Belgian, caramel. The flavor as well is quite straight forward, with a caramel line (medium sweet, medium body). Too simplistic.

Bottle Hazy, deep brown body. Off-white frothy head which diminishes very fastly. Excellent lace. Aroma of fine malts (caramel, chocolate) and some spices. Lightly sweet, lightly bitter flavour. Quite ok balance with some nice complexity.

On tap at Kulminator, Antwerp. Written down on the chalk board as Carolus Bok, but I guess its the same thing. Reddish brown with beige head. Some toffee on aroma. Quite a good bok, interesting with a bit of rubber and toffee and dryness on the end. Easy drinking, some perfume on the nose. Some plummy fruit

Draught Hazy, chestnut brown beer; yellowish-amber fine head. Nutty nose, gingerbread, pineapple. Harsh alcoholic and estery fusels taste. This is NO Bock in the German way. Sweet-ish with a nutty-bitterish edge, not gingerbread-unlike. Faraway sourish-fruity edge. Cold, this seems a bit thin for ’t Anker, and the alcohol seldom helps full MF, but looking (tasting) closer, there’s a lot going on, gets nearly chewy, with a warming background. Nice, though very untraditional Bockbeer. Worth a try - if you can find it.

Quite nice bock. Clear amberbrown color, medium brown frothy head. Taste is caramel malty, sweet and slightly yeasty i guess. Lasting malty but sticky palate.
