Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

Hops: Amarillo, Mosaic, Centennial

Tap at Brewdog Camden. Poured a hazy dark amber with a thin off white head. The aroma is big hop resin with a little treacle toffee. The flavour is medium to strong bitter with an alcoholic resin watery palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Crystal clear deep amber beer with a good pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and crisp and semi dry. Smooth malt, a little cream. Hops are odd - bitter aniseed skunk with lesser pine. Like it’s been hopped with Aramis and Waimea! There is a touch of tropical fruits well buried. Light semi dry finish. Strange hop profile but it’s fine.

341ml bottle from Brewdog online shop. Dark amber brown pour, lingering 1cm white head. Malt, biscuit, soapy hops on the nose. Very malt sweet taste, soapy and floral hop bitterness. Too sweet a finish for me. Astringent finish. Ok.

A dark coppery beer with a weak and blond head. The nose is strongly caramelly malty, wood and hint of pine. A taste is caramelly malty, but still quite dry, lots of wood, the wooden bitterness dries the mouth in the end, there are also some herbs. Medium bodied, balanced carbonation. Brittish-style IPA, wooden and bitter, that is not my favourite style of IPA, but anyway, this is a high-quality beer.

Excellente! La mousse ne tient pas longtemps mais le goût oui ;) J’avais beaucoup trop tardé avant d’en racheter... C’est peu effervescent mais bien riche.
