Corne du diable (French for "Horn of the devil") is a contemporary interpretation of the classic English India Pale Ale. This new style, born on the west coast of North America, is characterized by stronger and hoppier beers. The result is a red ale expressing caramel flavours coming from the malt, sharp bitterness and powerful hop aromas, thanks to dry hopping.

Hops: Amarillo, Mosaic, Centennial

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein leicht trübes bernsteinfarbenes Bier mit schöner Schaumkrone. Geruch nach Citrus, Blumen. Geschmack sehr malzig, fruchtig herb, leicht nach Kräutern.

Bottle from Cornelius. Hazy amber body with a medium off-white head. Steady carbonation. Nice lacing. Pungent aroma of lime, honey, pine resin and furniture polish. Flavour of wood, honey and musty citrus. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Quite sweet and malty for an IPA, but pretty tasty.

341ml bottle. BB 08/14. Mahogany color, lasting thick white head. Lots of caramel in aroma, dark fruits, hops and woody notes. Flavor has pine, bitter hops, wood caramel and some herbs. Long bitter finish. Quite strong bitterness. Stuffy, but quite enjoyable. Full bodied.

Draft from BrewDog Shepherd’s Bush opening night on 29 November 2013. Poured a bright ruby colour with a tight white head and good lacing. Aroma of redcurrents, brown sugar and soft fruits. Maple syrup sweetness on the initial flavour mixed with chewy malt and pine needle hops. Finish was a mix of sweet plums, molasses and bitter hop resin.
