Bomber from Taniguchi. Served in the same glass as the other IPX for ease of comparison. The same light beige foam but I’d say the body is more opaque. The bottle says I should get tropical fruits and pear from El Dorado hops but I get more piney and perhaps a hint of candied sugary cinnamon pears. The beer is bitter, spicy stone fruit. Weird as it is not what I was expecting but OK.

On tap at Både&. It’s a clear, dark golden beer with a small, dense beige head. The aroma is quite piney, with resins and citrus zest. Not much malts detected. It’s full bodied and quite dry on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. Bitter, citrusy flavor, not much malty sweetness, lasting for a long time. Really tasteful and pleasant this one. Sort of quenching too. 160915

2016-02-22, tasting at Josh’s, 7-4-7-3-13=34
Hazy golden color, medium sized head. Nice citrus fruit aroma, mandarin, some fermenting grass (7-). The mouthfeel is dry; some crackery malt flavor, not enough quality actually, and the hop comes in with a strong herbaceus character, more than fruity, a bit of chicory in the final.
Not a bad beer, not exciting.

2016-02-01, draught at The Local, Bellingham, WA; 6.4% ABV, 6-4-6-3-11=30
Golden color, clean. Strong feeling of pineapple candy, light residual sweetness, light fruity hop resins.
Not the most convincing of the IPAs.

Dull amber. The aroma has more melon than Uzbekistan, some mandarina as well. Nice bitterness and has a very orangey hop note with orange skin bitterness. The malt character is actually a little bit weak.

Bomber. Pours a clear copper color with a large white head. A fruity toast nose. The flavor is light sweet citrus, tea, big herbal tea elements. A sort of British pale. Mellow. Clean. Mild bitterness.
