Draught @ Borefts Bier Festival 2011, Brouwerij de Molen, Bodegraven, Netherlands.Clear dark brown black colour with a large to huge, creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, dark dark chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110924]

Sampled at Borefts Beer Festival @ De Molen, Bodegraven. Pitch black, opaque color, small off-white head. Smell coffee, roasted malts and burned. Taste sweetness, roasty, coffee. Too sweet for my liking. Decent carbo, low to medium body.

Pours black with a light tan head. Aroma has notes of roasted malt, caramel, leather, chocolate and licorice. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter. Body is full, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

Tap @ Borefts Beer Festival, 2011. Pours dark brown with a small creamy head and lacings. Dark malts, chewy caramel, fruit and toffee. Smooth and full bodied. Very well made.

On tap at BBF ’11. Deep dark brown colour, beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, raisins, laurel, light smoke. Flavour is sweet, malty, caramel, rye, laurel, light smoke, malty bitter finish. Medium bodied. Good bock imo.

From tap. Pours hazy dark brown to black with a small tan head. Aroma is roasted dark malty and breadish. Sweet, dark malty and light breadish flavoured. Bitter, dark roasted malty and breadish. Ends dry and roasted malty.

On tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV was said to be 7%. If the two versions were labelled correctly: The Kollaborator has a black colour, large beige head. Moderate aroma of roasted malts, hints of smoke and cigar box. The flavour is malty and moderately roasty, medium sweet, hints of liquorice, maybe a touch of smoke.
