330ml bottle from the Needle & Pin, Loughborough. Amber and mostlyclwar with a ring of off-white head. Big malt aroma, Belgian yeast, candy sugar. A little candied orange peel. Sweet and strong taste with more orange peel flavours, strong boiled sweet, spicy yeast. Full body with carbonation on the heavy side.

Roodbruin bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is bitter hoppig, droog en licht fruitig zoet met iets van ananas, citrus en wat hars. Best goed.

Aroma of malts, caramel, grapefruit, pine, aromatic hops. Flavour is malty and hoppy with a vey potent lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Quite nice!

0.33l bottle, vintage 2023. Clear amber body with an off-white head. Hoppy aroma and taste with notes of grapefruit, grapes and a tiny bit of pine. It also shows some caramel, raisins and lemon zest. The alcohol is well hidden. Smooth DIPA with a bitter finish that stays in the mouth for a while. Nice one.

hazy orange to dark amber colour, moderate sized creamy beige-ish ecru head; aroma dried apricot, pine resiny, dried pear, some grapefruity, honey and biscuity notes; bittersweet taste with the same notes as can be felt in the aroma; great one!

Bottle. Raynville. Clear deep amber. Slick and leggy lacing lasting white foam. Looks the business. Crystal malts and a shit load of old school resinous spicy hop on top. Slick and super smooth overall. Big bitterness with a lip coating malt sweetness. Punchy as you like bitterness to finish. Absolute class.

Bottle from House Of Trembling Madness. Hazy amber/ruby body with a beige head. Low carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of caramel, overripe peach and fig. Flavour of orange, pine and peach. Medium to full body with a syrupy mouthfeel. Soft fizz. This is delicious but it’s more like a barley wine than a DIPA.

Keg at Fuggles in Tunbridge Wells. Not much nose, but a real richness of flavour and mouthfeel. Like a barley wine, with a huge caressing mouthfeel and an odd sweetness on the length. Not for me.....
