It could be said that the origin of this brew has its roots in the meeting place of its creators. 6 years ago in a Chicago Brew Pub, Sean of The Commons and Brent of Four Winds first exchanged thoughts on beer and realized their common interests. What came to life was a Brettanomyces fermented Farmhouse Ale, conditioned with Keremeos Apricots. Bright, Balance, Fruit, Funk. These are our Common Winds.

Shared by Bvery I think, thanks!.Hazy yellow color and big whie head. Gushed from the bottle, nearly exploding. Brett aroma and in the flavor, dry with yeast, some apricot, but not much of it. Dry, earthy finish.

Bottle shared by Ryan, thanks! Pours a cloudy pale yellow with a white head that lasts throughout the beer. Aroma has funky, slightly tart apricot with a bit of yogurt and some grains backing. Flavor has yogurty apricot with light funk and earthy grains supporting.

Hazy light amber. Thin head. The aroma kicks off a lot of brett. There’s some yeastiness, light fruity character, strong brett. The apricot is not particularly noticeable. Off-dry finish, bit yeasty. Good, basic brett beer.

750 ml bottle. Pours a hazy amber with full head. Aromas of jammy yellow fruit leaning towards apricots, melons, and grapes with toast malts in the background. Flavors of same though lacking body and somewhat watery. Not the very best Four Winds but still not bad. Would be a nice summer beer...

At Matt’s place. A lot of wild brett in the aroma with some note of apricots and flowers. Very yeasty and earthy taste. So-so.

750mL bottle, pours a cloud vibrant orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out a great balance of apricots and brett, somehow with both the barnyard funk from the brett and the fruitiness being equally prominent. Flavour is very tasty, with muddy earthy yeast, medium barnyard funk from the brett, and barely any of the apricots. This smells way better than it tastes -- unfortunately the taste is very yeasty and muddy. A rare miss from Four Winds.

Cloudy golden color with medium sized head. The aroma is a bit too yeasty, and lightly fruity. Smooth mouthfeel, the acidity is very mild, it has some residual sweetness, a lot of yeast, some vegetables too.
