Bottle. Black colour with a tan head. Aroma is hop, burned, roasted, coffee. Flavour is hop, burned, roasted coffee. The finish is burned. Nice beer.

Bottle. The pour is just lovely; jet black body and a nice tan head. Complex aroma with hocolate, roasted malt, some notes of tar, dried fruits and coffee. Really nice flavor too, with chocolate and coffee starting the ball, with a nice hoppy bitterness finishing it. In the middle there’s dried fruits and some sweetness. Some alcohol also entered the scene. Dry, warming mouthfeel. When swallowed, both coffee-like and hoppy bitterness occur. The beer is a bit thin-bodied, but it sure is a beauty. Yummy! Pitch black with large light brown head. Sweet aroma with notes of roasted malt, hops, coffee and liquerice. Sweet flavor with roasted malt, hops, coffee and liquerice notes. Good complexity and well blanced. Hoppy for a british Stout. Nice.

Black with a lasting light brown head. Aroma is both roast malt and dried fruit, with a hint of wood and smoke. Semi sweet and very roast flavour, with a bunch of hops, and a slightly burnt finish. Very well balanced and drinkable.

33 cL bottle@fonefan/Brugmansia’s Cnudde tasting, as Organic Decadence. Pours dark brown with a dense and chocolate brown head. Roasted malt and chocolate dense aroma. Flavour is hardroasted, light smoke note and a smooth chocolate flavour. Lingering roasted bitterness, hoppy finish and light fruity note.8-4-8-4-16=4.0

Sweet, mild acidic and dark roasted malt. Slight herbal, subdued acidic and lingering dark roasted malt. Ends dry and slight bitter to the roasted malt finish.7-4-7-4-15=3.7

[i] [b] Bottle picked up from the brewpub in January and consumed on an Imperial Stout Tasting evening with Case, Traci and Loz 14-03-08 [/i] [/b] This didn’t have the bitterness that I expected in fact it was rather smooth. Some sherry notes on the nose and oak. There is a very interesting citrus thing going on here which makes for an interesting stout as it more than counteracts the bitter coffee and chocolate flavours. This beer pours black, there is very little head save for a smattering of beige bubbles on the edges.

Bottle. [Brew # 1000]. [My UK-beer rating # 700]. Dark black color with a huge, creamy - rocky, excellent lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, burnt, chocolate, moderate to heavy hoppy, grass, grape. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration. Body is medium to full, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. Very nice ;o)) (190108)

Deep Solid black ... bursting full of amerian hop and light roast malt ... again the overriding flavour is sweet resiny american hops ... smooth and rich .... sweet roast malts but its the piney hops that really burst through making this a little drying ... In the end i think the Hops are a bit overpowering. cask at IMBC ... deep black ... thin tan head ... soft mellow rich roast malt ... soft chocolate roast ... soft and rich roast malt ... lightest meatyness ... 4.0 Keg at the vintage... Deep black... Thin tan lacing... Soft meaty chocolate roast... Dark malts... Rich deep tones... Over fizzy... Big solid roast nice 4.2

Bottle at HogTownHarry Fest ’08. Lovely hop, deep roasted malts on aroma. Excellent US hops (I’m guessing). Just a stunning, roasty, beautifully balanced beer. Not a harsh roast. This is fantastically good. Just a 10 for aroma. Superb. God I love this. One of the best beers I’ve had.
