This bold yet balanced Imperial white IPA hopped with Magnum, Centennial, and Nelson Sauvin hops from New Zealand. Allowed to age on white wine oak, there are some delicate characteristics behind the bold hoppiness of this brew. Look for hints of fresh crushed gooseberries, passionfruit and white peach as well as light oaky tannins.

Draught @ Alibi. Hazy, amber, thin head. Not a big aroma. Harsh phenols and astringent spices...too much alcohol late.

On tap at Bitter Tasting Room. A little bit sour and malty in the aroma. Fruity hoppy bitterness in the taste.

Draft - Light sweet citrus. Cloudy gold with a decent white head. Pithy citrus bitterness and a touch of coriander. This doesn’t work for me.

Light copper coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of alcohol, pine, floral hops, coriander seed and a touch of citrus. Medium-bodied; Strong malt notes with a lot of grain and a good deal of alcohol coupled with some coriander seed and full oranges. Aftertaste shows a little hoppiness, but not too much, and only a bit of the sweetness from citrus and not much else. Overall, a decent beer, but a wierd attempt to combine these styles which doesn’t work out at all - it shows most of neither styles. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from West Coast Liquor Store (in Vancouver Airport) in Richmond, British Columbia, Canada on 05-June-2015 for CA$7,50 sampled in my hotel room two days later on 07-June-2015.

Draught at Alibi Room, Vancouver
Amber color, quite clean, with creamy head. The aroma is too might, not totally absent, a bit yeasty, smelly. It has a hard malt flavor, on top of it the yeast and hops create an unpleasant kind of bitterness, similar to chicory, and when you add the hop resins the result just gets messy.
Not totally bad, it’s just something gone wrong, and they should have the guts to recall it.

On tap at Bridge, pours a hazy golden blonde with a small white head. Nose is pretty restrained, with fuzzy fruitiness, herbal notes and a little yeast. Flavour is very herbal, with fungal-like herbal hops, yeast, and light tropical fruitiness. Medium astringency on the finish from the hops. Not terribly enjoyable flavours - too fungal and herbal. Rather harsh on the finish as well. Needs some work, but it's not bad.
