Aroma of malts, caramel, nuts, some dark fruits, slight liquorice. Flavour is medium sweet, more malts and caramel. Body is a bit thin and carbonation a bit too high.

Lekker dus.

330ml bottle from Beermoth. Pours dark brown with off-white head. Nice sweet malt aroma. Taste is a lovely sweet bock, some caramel, spice, dark fruits, sweet malts. Really hit the spot this, and like the bottle design too! Reminds me of my hardcore punk days!

Bottled, dated 24/09/2013, large sample. Slight gushing, but spilled nothing. Then it poured an easy clear redbrown color with a medium lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma of caramel, slight roast, slight chocolate, bit spicy esters, bit sugary or molasses. Bit sweet in taste, burned caramel, slight metallic hint (touch of oxidation perhaps). Medium carbonation. Burned caramel gives it a sirupy feel, which is quickly washed away by the carbonation that is a bit too much, leaving a malty bitter finish. They havent quite convinced me yet, these Tears of the Butcher.
