Bottle - Vintage 2009 - Sweet caramel notes and ketchup. Cloudy brown. Sweetish, plum and prune with a light body. Sweet and a bit of cardboard, but OK.

355mL bottle, pours hazy orangey gold. Aroma of apple juice, butterscotch and candied sugar. Flavour is dominantly apple juice, sugar, butterscotch and some barrel-like notes. On par with the regular one.

At Swans. Berry and wood aroma. Dark red, low head. Dry wooden, light phenolic flavor. Medium body, slick mouthfeel extremely dry on the tongue. Gets delicious after a bit of air.

2015-12-09, bottle from Brewery Creek, 6 years old, 7-4-8-4-16=39
Mellow beer, but still with character, quite fruity, nutty, and with enough bitterness.
Well matured, not old or oxidized, I actually like it more than when fresh.

Hazy red - dark amber color; small creamy head. Strange aroma, grocery store, cookies, my home made lasagna, light fudge, maple syrup. Sweet caramel and fudge flavor, some maple syrup, nutty, milky; strong body, the bitterness is subdued. I like sweet drinks, so I also like this one, but it wouldn’t be the one that could get me into Barley Wines. Generous mark.

Bottled. A red-amber beer with a thin orangey head. The aroma has notes of over ripe fruits, caramel, prunes, and sirup. The flavor is sweet with strong notes of caramel and over ripe fruits, as well as notes of cinnamon, and prunes, leading to a dry alcoholic finish. Thanks fiulijn for sharing.

Clear amber with a medium beige head. Sweet aroma with toasted malt, caramel, ripe fruits and hints of hops. Flavour was slightly oxydized and had notes of hops, caramel, toasted malt, overripe fruits and warming alcohol. Finished sweet.

Golden brown with a slight haze. Rich, almost brown sugar aroma with just a hint of oxidation. Sweet, tasty brown sugar with a light orchard fruit character to balance. I don’t think this will age very well but fresh it is a beauty.

Bottle: Poured a medium copper color ale with a medium foamy head with good retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of light sugar with some sweet malt. Taste is not as complex as I had hoped with some notes of sweet malt but no dry fruits or other complexity that the style usually suggest. Body is about average with OK carbonation and no apparent alcohol. OK at best bit nothing to write home about.
