Aroma of roasted malts, caramel, sweet liquorice, raisins, cough syrup, touch of dark fruits. Flavour is sweet with a long moderate bittersweet finish. I found the sweetness a bit much, but the bitterness in the finish balances it out to an extent.

330 ml bottle. Pours a very dark brown with light head. Aromas of burnt sugar, metallic malts, and dark raisins. Flavors of bread crusts, dark fruit, almonds, and dried bananas. Big and sweet for a dubbelbock but nice enough.

Suhkrune, šokolaadine, röstine, alkone. Läheb rohkem sinna imperial stout kanti kui aus olla, mis iseenesest pole ju halb, ag võiks vähem suhkrune olla.

On tap at Pelgrim, pours a deep dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out dark dried fruits, toffee, and bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with dark dried fruits, bready malt, and some toffee. Decent depth to this. A little too much bitterness but it works. Solid.

Draught (PINT Bokbier Festival 2015, Amsterdam) - Dark brown with a foamy tan head. Raisins and marzipan in the aroma. Fruity, rich and slightly metcallic taste with raisins, plums and marzipan standing out.

Bottle from Burg Bieren, 2014 vintage BB 30 Dec 2015, large sample. Dark brown color, medium almost creamy brown head. Aroma of roasted malts, quite some licorice, high fusels, laurel, bit coffee, spicy notes, slight spicy yeast. Spicy and dry in taste, again lots of licorice. Spicy and a bit on the alcoholic side, bit heavy on the stomach. Medium to high carbonation, medium bodied. Heavy stuff, no easy drinker.
