Ins Glas ergießt sich ein dunkel rötlichbraunes Bier mit schöner beigen Schaumkrone. Geruch röstmalzig, dunkle Früchte, alkoholisch. Geschmack röstmalzig süß, Malzbonbons, leicht alkoholisch, reife dunkle Früchte.

Tap @ brewery, 9%. Very dark brown coloured, with a tan head. Nose is roasted malts, hint of chocolate, chocolate milk, caramel, raisins. Flavour is light roasted malts, chocoloate, dark fruits, fairly sweet, slightly alcoholic.

Draft at Doerak, Delft. Pours dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of raisins, licorice, caramel, overripe dark fruit. Flavour is heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

On tap at PINT BBF’13. Almost black colour, thin beige head. Aroma of hard roasted/burnt malts, ash, liquorice, laurel. Flavour is medium-sweet, liquorice, laurel, hard roasted malts, some coffee, light ashy, bitter roasted finish, slightly grainy. Medium-bodied.

Bottle 750ml.Clear dark brown colour with a small to average, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, roasted, caramel, chocolate, sweet malt, sugary malt. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, sweet malt, burnt caramel, sharp, malty. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20130405]

Bottle 75 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a reddish brown with a small off-white head. Nutty aroma with some brown sugar. Only medium-bodied, has some phenols - is this really bottom fermented? - and a rather boozy finish. Rough and unrefined. 060413

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Nice head with good duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are sweet fruits, banana, malt, caramel, candy sugar and hops.
