A brew to finish a day in the fields! This sparkling wine / beer hybrid perfectly balances the familiar spicy characteristics of the saison yeast and apple tartness with rich honey notes.

On draft at Trio in Kill Devil Hills NC. Pours a clear gold with a white head. Fruity nose. Flavors of tropical fruit with a bit of saltiness. Smooth finish.

660ml bottle. Pours hazy amber with frothy white head. Delicate saison / belgian tripel character with a welcoming bramley apple influence. An excellent take on the style.

Draught @ Tallinn Craft Beer Weekend 2015
Aroma is somewhat tart and acidic with green apples and sour cream – feels like a berliner weisse. Flavour is tart with green apples, worty tones and yeast. Finishes floury and milky & feels messy.

Tap @TCBW15. Golden colored, thick white head. Funky on the nose, apples, pear, citrus. Flavor has green apples, citrus notes and yeast. Quite a brew. Refreshing. Abv nicely hidden

Keg @ Alltech Beer Fest, Dublin [280215]
Blonde, hazy, frothy dense white head
Aroma of saison yeast, spicy, not getting much apple here
Taste - Spicy, wheaty, dab of clove, alcohol a bit noticeable, can’t get much apple
Palate - Soft carb, medium body, fairly sweet. Finish as main flavour, spicy and light booze
Overall - OK, but not great

From tap at ACBF. Thick, frothy, cream white head, misty yellow blonde colour with somewhat greenish hue. Lots of apple, malic acid and cider, pineapple and other sweet fruits, very fruity onset, honeyish touch in the mouth, sour and sweet like a cider, dryishly sourish finish with lots of fruit lingering; a bit one-sided though, and not quite delivering as a ’saison’.

Draught Good fine white head over cloudy orange-golden beer. Dry spicy nose, not much else. Spicy, yeast-induced flavour. dried culture yeast, dried banana (if much less sweet). Medium bodied, well-carbonated. Applewhat? Next.

The Diamond, Brooklyn tap: pours golden with a foamy white head. Aroma is light funk, heavy fruitiness, and some straw or something or whatever malt this happens to be. Taste is sweet. Apples are not to be had. Not bad,

Nice flowery saison, no sign of any apples. Silky smooth with small creamy head. Hazy golden body, somewhat slick, herbal notes on the back end.
