Much more challenging than previous years. A well blended nose features figs, brown sugar and some booziness. A great unfiltered looking dark gold body with a massive off-white head - unusual for a BW variation. The 125 IBUs stand up and are counted at the front end of the taste profile. A bitter, rindy fruitiness combines well with prunes, apricots leather, a hint of sourness and pepper. Underpinned by a sweet malt background and solid thick body, a nice hint of booze warms the whole thing up. A great example of casking that works for the beer, not against it. Challenging sipper that keeps reinventing itself as you sip your way through it.

Bottle 0.341l at home, Vantaa. Bottled 2015. Colour is murky light brown with large white head. Aromas and flavours: Ripe fruits, some burning alcohol, grain, vineous elements, dryness, wood, ryebread, some berries and malts. Maybe too aged, little bit of too carbonated but some nice grainy malty elements. Boozy too.

Mild gusher. Hazy deep amber beer, good cream colour head. Cream and candy on the nose. Palate is airy and fairly crisp. Big bretty start, savoury bitter brett. Crystallised fruits and a little cherry. Bretty floralness and a light malt cream. Bitter bretty finish. A brett bomb but it’s has enough else going on to be ultimately quite seductive.

Bottle - Tons of funky sour stone fruit and tropical notees. Cloudy copper with a rich beige head. Tart and acidic up front, but that fruity funky prevails nicely and finishes bitter. Nice sweetness and balanced funk with a nice perfumy bitterness. Lots going on and well done.
