This Irish style stout is deep, dark, smooth and creamy. The use of oatmeal in the mashtun adds “silkiness” to the texture and body of this ale. Excellent paired with oysters, prime rib and your weekend brunch. Formerly known as Steelhead Stout.

There's nothing wrong with this beer, it's just spectacularly unspectacular. Thin on the body and lacking flavour for a stout. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can. Pours black with light white head. Aromas of coffee and roasted malts. Flavors of dry coffee and dry roasted malts. Not much there. Very simple.

Draft - Nitro - Roast, some cocoa and oatmeal. Jet black with a creamy light brown head. Roast and some dark chocolate with a bitter finish. Pretty average.Earlier Rating: 5/4/2013 Total Score: 3Can - Roasted malts. Jet black thin white head. Roasted malts with a touch of bittersweet chocolate. A basic but decent stout, very sessionable if not interesting.

Sampled on nitro tap at Central City, pours dark amber. Flavour of toasted malts, wood, and some very off-putting flavours - paper (?), sand and a nasty bitter finish. Very strange - and terrible.

Draught at the brewpub, nitro
Very dark brown color, with the usual creamy foam. Very light roasted malt aroma. Smooth mouthfeel, quite thin body, with a mild roasted malt flavor. Easy.

Very dark colour with light brown nitro head. Hints of coffee in the faint aroma. Flavour is coffeeish with light roast and low-med bitterness. There is a hint of chocolate. A little watery in the finish (a nitrogen effect). Ok, but muted.

On cask. Pitch black color with creamy white head. The body was full of flavourful roasted malts, but was very smooth. The finish had an suprisingly assertive hops presence that was delightful.

Deep opaque brown, lasting creamy tan nitro head.Light roasted nose.Flavor is roasted and dry malt with burnt bitter finish. I liked this one, other than being a bit on thin side it was a good stout
