On tap at Mondial de la bière Montréal 2015. It’s an unclear one, yellow in color and with a small, white head. Lemon juice, barnyard, leather and some grapefruit in the lightly funky aroma. It’s tart and medium bodied with a nice carbonation level. It’s decently bitter, with grapefruit, lemon juice notes, some barnyard and leather in the flavor, a faint touch of pale malts and some pine cones too.Long tart, lemony finish with funk notes. Nice.Refreshing. A tad boring. 150611

Tasting at Matt’s
Cloudy blond color with small head. Very nice aroma; it’s strong and pungent, it’s flowery and fruity, lightly funky. Dry mouthfeel, but well carbonated; it has some cedar peel character, light tropical fruits, a bit funky.
Very nice.

Bottle: Poured a hazy light pale yellow color ale with a large foamy head with excellent retention and some great lacing. Aroma of light dry funky notes with some light rustic malt notes is quite enjoyable. Taste is a great complex mix of funky notes with subtle tart notes, with grassy notes and rustic malt with nice lightly peppery yeast notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Love the complexity that can be found in this beer while also maintaining a great level of drinkability.

500mL bottle, sent from yourilevesque (thanks a lot, Youri!), pours a cloudy pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out lovely tangy hops and cat piss, lots of brett, and medium funk. Flavour is very complex, with lots of dry hopping in the tangy New Zealand variety (Nelson Sauvin) and cat piss (North American), followed by lots of bretty funk. Wonderful balance of the dry hopping and funk. Excellent stuff.
