This beer is actually bottom fermented, so you can't call it a real India Pale Ale. But both aroma and flavor have all the characteristics of an IPA. Light malty, very hoppy, medium bitter. Flavour indication: Malty, grassy, citrus.

cloudy amber colour, practically no head; aroma of grassy and citrussy hops with some sourish notes and maltyness; taste of malty sweetness and much less intensive hoppyness than expected...quite watery, surprisingly average....they should not have brewed this at de molen...it was a mistake

Bottle @ home. Clear dark orange color, medium sized beige head. Smell malts, lightly hops but also something weird I can’t find out what it is. It’s not really disturbing but just weird. Taste lightly malts, lightly to moderately hops, and, I don’t know, a touch of mint or tea or something. Again, not offending but just a tad weird. Lightly bitter, average body and carbonation.

Hazy amber beer with a small pale cream coloured head. Palate is light, semi dry and crisp. Dry lactose malt with a caramel streak. Mellow orange citric hops. Touches of grapefruit and ripe mango. Dry finish. Odd! Very malt led for an IPA and from De Molen, well it’s even odder! Nothing wrong with this but really not what I was expecting.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning. Clear orange/amber colour, soapy white head. Aroma of wet, leafy hops, mandarins, some malts, hint of tea. Flavour is light to medium-sweet, light malty, grass, pine, orange, leaves, bitter finish. Light-bodied. Disappointing beer for De Molen standards.

33 cl bottle from De Bierkoning @ home. Amber color, quite clear. No head, not even when pouring with force. Aroma’s: earthy hops, toasted malts, hints of pine and malt. Additionally wet and flowery hops retronasal, some acidity. Flavor is moderate sweet with some roasted bitterness. Medium bodied. Low carbonation. Finishes with a light acidic bitterness. OK, but I don’t really get the point.

Gentle aroma of honey and flowers. Almost no head and the small dissapears quickly. Clear dark amber color. Bitter taste with hints of graperfruit and light sweetness and very slight sourness in the background. There is also something that reminds me caramel, but clearly isn’t. I can’t put my finer on what it is. Carbonation is soft-medium. Aftertaste is nice bitter that lasts for some time. Overall this is interesting IPA-ish beer. Tastes better than looks. Note that this beer is bottom fermented, so it’s not your typical IPA. It’s definetly not a boring beer and it is quite fun to drink.
