Draft - Version 16 - Lots of fresh nice grapefruit notes. Clear gold with a decent white head. Lots of nice grapefruit, some peel bitterness and a long bitter grapefruit finish.

Cloudy, amber-brown. Big head. Aroma is lots of hop. No real focus, but fun. Taste has a lot of simcoe, citra, a little chewy crystal and muddled yeast. But ok. Still not focused.

A hazed golden amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, sweet fruity caramel malt with smooth floral hops, grapefruit pulp, lychee, nice. In mouth, a nice sweet fruity caramel malt with floral resinous and citrusy hops, tropical fruit, very nice. On tap at Arrow and Loon.

(On tap at Volo, July 14 2014, Partie Deux version with Apocalypse Later, Thrust, My Bitter Wife) Pours a very hazy dark amber with brown hints, decent frothy whitish head. Aroma fairly fruity hops, strong but softer with tropical and pit fruits dominating over citrus, not really resinous, rich caramel malts with slight toffee/roast character. Flavour follows the nose, though with a bit more earthy pine and dark malt character - nice and sweet at the core but with a nice smooth tropical fruit hop and citrus character, fairly restrained bitterness, smooth but a little muddled as expected and a tick watery. Mouthfeel moderate, slightly oily. I like the fruity character without huge bitterness from the Thrust and Apocalypse, plus the dark malt character of the latter, making this like a maltier GL IPA. Still think I prefer all the original beers though. Would have liked to try the version with RoboHop to give it some stuffing.
