#MashTag was an epic experiment in crowdsourcing, which handed the keys to the brewery over to craft beer drinkers for a week. We asked you guys via Facebook and Twitter to direct all the elements of the brew and you decided to brew a 7.5% American Brown Ale with oak chips and hazelnuts.

Bottle. Dark brown colour with an off-white and creamy head, good lasting. Aroma has notes of toasted malts, burnt sugar and caramel. Flavor is slightly sweet at the beginning, notes of caramel, toasted sugar, slightly ripe fruits. Moderate bittery in the final, good maltiness with a creamy and smooth sensation on palate.

Mørk brun med lys brunt skum som forsvinner fort. Mørk moden frukt, karamell og lukt av mørk sjokolade. Søt alkohol, bitter sjokolade. lite kullsyre, bitterheten kommer sent.

Bottle shared with Dutchdrebus and Joes @ weekly tasting. Dark brown color with a slight red glare coming through, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, leaves, coffee, bitter. Medium body and carbonation. Not bad actually.

Bottle @ joes thx to benzai. Dark brown colour with a small off-white head. Smells roasty, sweet, chocolate, some hops, nice. Also some alcohol. Tastes roasty, sweet, some chocolate. Nice. Medium body, nice carbo.

Mørk brun. Så og si svart med lys brunt skum. Lukter sjokolade, plomme, lukter også at det er en øl med høyere alkoholprosent. Medium bitter i smak. soft carbonation og bitterheten sitter i.

Bottle shared at In De Wildeman. Pours brown with a thick beige head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, dark fruit. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter with big licorice coming out in the palate. Edi bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Hazy dark reddish brown with a beige head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, nutty, wood and moderate hoppy. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish with a little alcohol. 231013
