Hazy orange, big off white head. Aroma is very ready, and spicy, with some soft grassy hops. The pumpkin is a rad sweet, light fruit, and soft herbal spicing. Light bitterness, solid wheat, and subtle fruit tones.

Bottle: Poured a clear bright orangey color ale with a large foamy head with OK retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of cinnamon and light cloves is well balanced with the wheat malt notes. Taste is a well balance mix between some cinnamon, light clovers, sweet wheat malt notes and light pumpkin notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Easy drinking with just enough complexity.

Bottle from Oktoberfest sampler. Cloudy pale orange with a quick fading off white head. Nose is primarily banana and yeast with a hint of cinnamon and cloves. Light sweet supporting a light+ spice and a bit of tart citrus. Medium light creamy mouth with soft carbonation. Don’t notice much pumpkin in the flavour and less in the nose, which is probably why I don’t hate it, but I try to avoid pumpkin beers on principle.

Nice to see a stronger version this year, with 300 pounds of puree. Pours a hazy golden-yellow colour with a good frothy white head, great retention and superbe thick and foamy lace. Aromas of Belgian Ale yeast, wheat and citrus notes. Medium-bodied with a slight creaminess to it. Beautiful spices show up in the taste (ginger, cloves), with the Belgian Ale yeast, wheaty malt and citrus. The pumpkin is present, but well-balanced in the background. Nice pumpkin wheat ale that is refreshing.

Smells a little like pumpkin but more on the wheat beer end of the scale. Pours a cloudy orange. Palate is a little watery. No head, medium carbonation. Definitely not worth the eight bucks they charge for a bottle of this. On tap at volos.

A hazed blonde weizen with a thin white head. In aroma, ginger pulp with chalk and a bit of sulfur. In aroma, a nice sweet banana malt with cloves and ginger, smooth and pleasant. Cask at Beau’s Oktoberfest Oct. 1 2011.
