We brew this trippel with a Trappist yeast strain to hold true to the traditional style. The flavors are incredibly complex with notes of mild fruit that finish with just a bit of clove. Although this beer has a slightly higher ABV, you will find it finishes very smooth and dry on the palette. This makes for a perfect summer sipper.

Bottle. Teaish aroma, hint of vegetable. Hazy amber colour. Very small head. The flavour has some vegetable and yeast, quite malty. Has some paper, a bit sweet. OK, but nothing special. 6 3 7 3 13
Bottle, 4 years past the importerβs BB date. Smells oxidized, but nice enough. Malty and not boozy. Tastes oxidized as well, but like the aroma, not unpleasant at all. 6 3 6 3 14

Bottled. Hazy orange colour with a mediumsized white foamy head that leaves quite nice lace. Aroma is sweet malts, some yeast, zest as well as some mild spicyness. Flavour is caramel malts, some zesty notes, yeast as well as some spices. Has the ingredients, but is a bit watery as for the palate.

bottle thanks to awiseman01, pours hazy light brown with a thin white head. Aroma is flowery and fruity. I almost get a bubblegum/fig kind of nose from it. Flavor is rich and malt forward to begin with with caramel hitting upfront and some rich bread malts in the background. This doesnβt have that typical peppery/spicy yeast but rather fruity elements that keep the beer soft and semi-sweet, but elegant and delicious.

Bottle. Cloudy orange pour with a light film and floating sediment. Certainly some Belgian yeast in the nose, along with booze, cloves and citrus. Sweet with very distinct baked beans. Also light toast, caramel candy, light yeast. Medium bodied with fine carbonation, very little warmth. Burnt sugars in the finish that give the impression of roast, light spices, mild bread and alcohol. Decent but nothing special.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a very cloudy golden color with a lots of minuscule floaters and a medium sized foamy orange-white head that lingered and produced good lacing. The aroma was tangy with strong candi sugar and a light notes of pear and apricot. The flavor was tangy with a strong sugar note and a dry malty base with notes of almond and pear and faint notes of smoke and wood. The finish was long, dry, woody and a bit nutty. Moderately full bodied. Different but decent.
