We brew this trippel with a Trappist yeast strain to hold true to the traditional style. The flavors are incredibly complex with notes of mild fruit that finish with just a bit of clove. Although this beer has a slightly higher ABV, you will find it finishes very smooth and dry on the palette. This makes for a perfect summer sipper.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet Vika, Oslo. First pour is clear and plain amber, cloudy second pour. Missing head. Aroma of spiced fruits. Tart apples and sweet almond in flavour. Medium bodied. Noticeable alcohol. Alright, but not more than average in my book (hotel room, 01.04.2011).

clear red-orange with a lot of very small floaties. smooth offwhite head. caramelly aroma, dry malty, quite sweet aroma, also bitter, but flowery notes or the like. Not even fruity notes. flavor is sweet malty, slightly fruity, quite herbal and spicy bitter. Pretty strange brew, quite herbal bitter sort of like an english bitter, but also quite belgian yeasty only without that much fruits.

0.33l bottle shared with ClubGonzo. Pours a really nice darkish orange body with loath of sediments and a thin foam. Nose is floral, a little fruity, malts with a slightly sourish note and hints of honey and banana. Medium to light bodied and low carbonation. Tastes are quite nice with a nice almost pepperish note along with the yeast and hops. It's quite smooth, with a quick finish.

355 ml bottle. Dim, dark golden body with a medium off-white head. Quite unusually aroma her, some undefined hermetic fruit cocktail, syrup, spices and flowers. Not unpleasant. Flavor is sweet and smooth fruity, feels a bit perfumed, but not in a negative way. Sweet and fruity aftertaste. Unusually but pleasant.

12 fl. oz. bottle, courtesy of Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. ABV is not mentioned on the label. Murky brownish colour, moderate to low white head. Strong sweetish aroma with notes of white candi sugar; Belgian ale yeast and various spices. Moderate carbonation in the glass, but enough to make the beer fresh and pleasant to drink. The flavour is not as sweet as the aroma made me fear, the sweetness is actually well balanced with a fine spiciness and distinct hops in the finish. Nice one!

Bottle 35,5 cl. Pours a cloudy amber with an off-white head. The nose has a little yeast and fruit. Medium body, some fruitiness, some ashes and a dry and fairly hoppy finish with quite some late bitterness. Drinkable indeed but far from the most refined Tripel. 311210
