Hazy deep copper coloured body with a rich, two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of malt, cereal, earth, toffee and caramel - not too much of any of those, just around the board. Medium-bodied; Assertive bitter and pungent nuttiness with a heavy metallic and toffee bitterness that is harsh around the edges without showing much hops at all. Aftertaste is deep, aggressive and very malty with earthy and metallic flavours the strongest. Overall, not such a great Imperial IPA and frankly, not such a good beer in general. Definitely worth passing over and even more so, if you are thinking of packing this in a suitcase and bringing it across the whole of the country, like I did. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Seattle (WestLake), Washington [State] on 18-February-2016 for US$,799 sampled at home in [the real] Washington on 23-May-2016.

Amber, sweet, moderate berryish, fruity hops. Sweet, with a touch of booziness. Mostly just a good strong IPA.

On tap at Bainbridge Island, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out piney hops, biscuity malt and some minerally notes. Flavour is identical, with piney hops, some light residual sweetness and caramel biscuity malt. Finished with the minerally notes. Solid IIPA.
