Draft pour at the brewery. Pours a cloudy golden color with a patchy head. A nice fresh hop aroma that goes nicely with the hop vines all throughout the outdoor area here at the brewery. A pretty bitter beer here. Really nice hop flavors with a nice bitter finish. Super refreshing IPA. Enjoyed this one. UPDATE: First rerate of this in 4 years, but several tastes later. This classic IPA continues to come back throughout the Seattle area, though it's not as easy to find as I wish. Its bold hop character gives it a reminder of what IPA was like when I first fell in love with the style. Its wonderfully made.

Bottle from Community Food Co-op - N Forest St, Bellingham, WA
Cloudy amber color, with medium sized head. Nice aroma, toasted malt and biscuits. Good flavor of malt, toasted malt, some toffee; strong bitterness, very resiny (but not piney), with light fruity touch.
A very good thirstquencher, bold; the biscuity notes are appreciated.

Sampled on cask at GCBF '10, pours hazy golden yellow with a white head. Aroma and flavour of citrus and piney hops - very smooth and well-hopped like a good IPA should be.

22 ounce bottle courtesy of RiversideAK rated 4/25/10. Thanks! Pours a clear golden color with a large frothy head. Good head retention and lacing. The aroma is citrus hops with a bit of caramel. The taste is citrus and herbal hops with caramel. Medium bodied. Well balanced straightforward IPA, just the way I like them.
