Clear amber colour, off-white head. Aroma of melon, citrus, passion fruit, pineapple, hops, honey and malt. Quite bitter flavour, good malty backbone. Bitter finish, quite fruity, some honey.
More bitter than the TIPA of the same age. Held up quite nicely for a 1yo IPA.

Batch 14B. Helt okej DIPA.

Bottle at home. The colour is golden light amber and is pretty clear with a light beige medium head. Aroma of pine, grassy hops, some chocolate, caramel, oak and pale and sweet malt. Balanced flavour of grapefruit, pine and fades out with powerful grassy and herbal hops. Has a rich and slick mouth feel, and a lingering medium bitterness. Well-balanced and hoppy.

On tap at Borefts BF 2012, Bodegraven. Pours cloudy gold with a creamy white head. Big urine hop aroma, some dank citrus, moderate onions. Big sweet flavor with herbal grass, dank citrus fruits, sugary hay and a bit of onion. Medium to full bodied with average carbonation. Moderately resinous to finish with ripe and dank citrus. A touch heavy but not bad.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought online @ Drankgigant. Batch 09.14B. Hazy amber with a huge white head. Floral citrus aroma. Very bitter taste but not a very pronounced hop presence, which I kind of expected due to this being a DIPA. It’s more boozy than hoppy. Nice bitter aftertaste though. This is not the hop bomb I anticipated but still decent enough I guess.

Dark blond colour. Aroma of hops and some yeast. Flavour has a hint of caramel sweetness. Overall a strong hop flavour which is quite green and bitter (not fruity).

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a cloudy dark amber with a big white frothy head. The aroma is mellow and hoppy. The flavour is medium to strong bitter. Sadly, the alcohol dominates this beer rather than the hops and that’s not something that I like. The palate seems a little stale too and the alcoholic aftertaste isn’t pleasant. Given the other relatively high ratings here, I feel like I should try this again. Well, I have a few more bottles in my cellar, but for now, this beer doesn’t really appeal to me. Shame I didn’t get to try it at Borefts,

18/I/13 - 33cl bottle @ Emelisse brewery and restaurant - BB: IX/2014 (2013-29)

Clear copper orange beer, nice solid white creamy head, stable, adhesive, leaving a nice lacing in the glass. Aroma: citrus, malty, bit sweet, bit floral, ripe sweet fruits. MF: ok carbon, medium to full body. Taste: very fruity, citrus, bitter hops, bit soapy, alcohol noticeable. Aftertaste: pretty bitter, some citrus, soapy, grapefruit, zesty. Nice beer!
